Clue and The Hunt for Red October

Continuing our Tim Curry tribute, we watched Clue this afternoon and then The Hunt for Red October.

Can you believe that I'd never seen Clue before? I have no idea how I managed to miss that growing up. It holds up!

And The Hunt for Red October never disappoints. Giles was less of a fan of this one than of Clue. He's a firm believer in the importance of the Bechdel test and Red October has only four women onscreen in the entire film--Jack Ryan's wife and their babysitter in the very first scene, and two flight attendants, one of whom doesn't even have any lines.

But it's got Sean Connery and Sam Neil and Courtney B. Vance. And Tim Curry. 😢
