Alias Grace

Turns out the Margaret Atwood book I read for my library book club was made into a six-episode Netflix series.

It stays pretty true to the book, including a fair bit of dialogue taken directly from the text, and the changes they did make are totally fair.

Dr. Simon Jordan is played by an English actor who honestly looks a lot like Chris Evans and it’s been weird to see what looks like Captain America in 19th century dress but another significant character is played by Anna Paquin, who played Sookie Stackhouse in True Blood, and she’s very good.

We watched the whole thing over three nights and enjoyed it.
