Supernatural Season Two

Is season 2 the best season of Supernatural? Very possibly. I don't love the first episode, In My Time of Dying, because it's the beginning of a long, long series of lies the Winchesters tell each other, though we do get to see Dean run around with slightly less clothing on in this ep than usual (he's barefoot and wearing short sleeves!). And I do love Tessa, the reaper.

We get Gordon, the psycho hunter and his single-minded mission to kill things, whether they need killing or not.

We get Sam trying to get Dean to talk about their dad's death, which goes about as well as you can imagine, until Dean beats the shit out of the Impala that he's just restored and does getting hot while watching Dean wield a tire iron in a grief-fueled tantrum mean I'm a bad person? (Don't answer that.)

We get to meet Ellen and Jo Harvelle and their genius slacker friend Ash, who's got an outstanding mullet ("all business in front, party in the back!"). No Exit is definitely my favorite episode with Jo--the ghost of H.H. Holmes preying on young blonde women and Dean's entirely inappropriate sexual innuendo when Jo squeezes past him while they're exploring behind the walls of the apartment building delight me every time ("Shoulda cleaned the pipes" 💦😂💦).
