Book 3 of the Veronica Speedwell mysteries, which I am still smitten by. This one is about an Egyptian curse. Or something else with a logical explanation, because both Veronica and Stoker are scientists and neither believe in ghosts or supernatural phenomena. Although, Veronica is briefly willing to entertain the notion that there are some things that aren’t explainable, yet.

But this series is a mystery series, not a paranormal series, so there is an explanation for the curse and I enjoyed watching Veronica and Stoker solve the mystery. We also get a lot more of Stoker’s backstory in this book.
